The Museum of Love is a creation of imagination from author, illustrator and designer Kris Waldherr. Waldherr is the creator of Doomed Queens, Goddess Tarot, The Book of Goddesses and numerous books and products . The Museum of Love is intended as the most romantic destination on the web. All of the art and words that make up the Museum was created by Waldherr and adapted from her publications.

The Museum of Love takes the form of the Museo di Palazzo Filomela, or the Palace of the Nightingale, set in a mythic Renaissance Venice. Within this museum of the imagination, you can explore the many facets of Waldherr's newest -- and most excitingly beautiful -- illustrated project to date, The Lover's Path.

The Lover's Path was inspired by the history, art and design of Renaissance Italy -- as well as the women who inhabited it. It maps a journey where wisdom may be gained by daring to love another. It incorporates myths and stories about famous lovers from the ages, ranging from Dante and Beatrice to Cupid and Psyche; from Isis and Osiris to Danae and Zeus; and many others. The Lover's Path offers healing to bruised hearts as well as romantic inspiration to those who love.

The Lover's Path consists of several published books and products, all written, illustrated and designed by Waldherr. The Lover's Path Tarot is published by US Games Systems, the company behind her bestselling Goddess Tarot. Whether you seek to improve a love relationship, or yearn to nurture your relationship with yourself, The Lover’s Path Tarot's main tenet is that all love relationships mirror our relationship with ourselves.
The novel, The Lover's Path , is set in Renaissance Italy, The Lover's Path interweaves mythic love stories art as it unfolds the compellingly romantic tale of a young woman's emotional journey toward love and catharsis. You can read an excerpt from the novel here. The accompanying Lover's Path journal includes many of the romantic quotes and art featured on this site.

We hope that Waldherr's Museum of Love inspires all who visit it!

"Love seeks no cause beyond itself and no fruit; it is its own fruit, its own enjoyment. I love because I love; I love in order that I may love."
